EMCS Home Programmer Guide

APR's commitment to refining and improving its engine management software is unmatched in the chip-tuning industry. APR provides free software upgrades to all of our chip customers. From time to time, our engineers find ways to improve our chip software. This may be due to factory updates, customer feedback, or new APR innovations.

An EMCS Home Programmer gives the user the ability to reprogram their ECU with the latest software updates and to reconfigure their ECU for different preferences or features. To order a home programmer, you must first determine which style of EMCS module you have.

There are three different variations on EMCS boards, EMCS 1 with an "A" connector, EMCS 1 with a "B" connector, and EMCS 2. First determine whether you have an EMCS 1 or EMCS 2 board:

If you have an EMCS 1 board, there are two different connectors on the circuit board itself, "A" and "B".

Please order your APR EMCS Home Programmer with the correct adaptor cable for your ECU.
